POLICE NET 2 FOR ROBBERY

Police in Chikwawa are keeping in custody 2 people for allegedly robbing 2 businessmen cash amounting to MWK 1.6 Million and 9 cell phones valued at MWK 269, 000

According to Chikwawa Police Public Relations Officer, Dickson Matemba, the 2 suspects have been identified as White Shuga aged thirty-one and Emmanuel Msosa aged twenty.

Matemba said the duo committed the offence in the wee hours of 1st May, 2022 when they stormed a certain businesman's house at Masenjere Trading Centre in the district while armed with panga knives and later hacked the owner before robbing him eight hundred thousand Kwacha cash and two cell phones. 

Meanwhile, Shuga and Msosa are expected to appear before court soon to answer charges of robbery.
