POLICE URGE PARENTS TO BE PRUDENT ON CHILD PROTECTION DURING EASTER CELEBRATIONS

By Nertha Hara

As Christians across the world will be celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ during the Easter Season, Malawi Police Service has advised parents to take extra care of their children.

Speaking to Timveni , national deputy Police public relations officer Harry Namwaza said cases of rape, defilement, drowning and kidnaping are recorded every year as people go to different places to celebrate the season.

Namwaza has further asked parents to monitor what their children are doing, who they are hanging out with and make sure that they are left with people they trust to avoid problems.
