One of the country’s political commentators George Phiri has asked leader of opposition, Kondwani Nankhumwa to be realistic when seeking responses from government on social-economic challenges rocking the citizenry.

Nankhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party vice president has given President Lazarus Chakwera 14 days ultimatum to meet people’s needs.

In an interview with Timveni Online, Phiri said most of the issues cannot be tackled within a short period.

According to Phiri, Nankhumwa was supposed to utilise the just ended budget parliament to hold government accountable on issues affecting people.

Phiri has however requested government to update the nation on how it intends to address issues affecting the citizenry.
