SMOOTH START TO NEEF

Government says the resumption of loan disbursement by the rebranded National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited—NEEF has started smoothly.
NEEF, which replaced the Malawi Enterprise Development Fund—MEDEF, resumed operations on Tuesday following suspension of loan disbursement over maladministration concerns.
Speaking to Timveni, Treasury Spokesperson Williams Banda said NEEF is currently recruiting individuals and groups interested to get the loans.
According to Banda the loans will be disbursed in all offices belonging to NEEF.
He however said every deserving Malawian will benefit stressing there will be no political interference in the program.
