Salima Central Constituency is said to be registering high school dropout rates as learners struggle to pay user fees demanded by school authorities.
Member of Parliament for the area Gerald Kapiseni Phiri raised the concern saying this is denying children the right to education.
The Legislator said is surprising to see that learners are forced to pay the user fees in free government schools.
He has asked Minister of Education Agnes Nyalonje to act on the concern.
In her remarks, Minister of Education Agnes Nyalonje said her Ministry will look into issue so that learners should not be affected.
