THE ANTI-MALEMIA PROTESTERS SUSPEND VIGILS IN NSANJE

By Chilenje Chilenje

Some concerned communities who were holding vigils at Nsanje district council to force Senior Chief Malemia of the district step down from his position, have suspended the vigils.

This follows President Lazarus Chakwera's intervention to institute a 5 member commission of inquiry to investigate the allegations levelled against Malemia.

Senior Chief Malemia of Nsanje has been accused of leading his subjects with an iron fist, an allegation he has denied severally.

This led the citizens to petition president Chakwera and hold vigils at Nsanje district council to force the president remove the chief from his position.
