The United Nations has spelt the significance of positive thinking if the country is to achieve Malawi 2063 aspirations for national development.
United Nations Resident Representative, Shigeki Komatsubara, made the observation this past weekend in Lilongwe during National Planning Commission’s (NPC’s) media training on the implementation of the 10 year plan, Covid-19 Social Economic Recovery Plan and Secondary Cities Project.
Komatsubara implored the media to spread positive messages to inspire the citizenry to take part in implementation of Malawi 2063.
Meanwhile, NPC’s Director of Development Planning, Dr Grace Kumchulesi, said despite several challenges including Covid-19, natural disasters and global economic crisis stifling implementation of some projects in the first 10 year plan, involvement of all citizens can help the country achieve middle income status by 2030.
