UNION VOWS TO GUARD COUNTRY’S LABOR LAWS

By Wilson Allan Phiri
The Malawi Congress of Trade Unions has vowed to ensure that labour laws are respected in various work places across the country.
MCTU’s stance follows a recent alleged altercation between a KFC top official Adil Patel and a junior employee a Mrs. B Tchale in Lilongwe.
The matter is currently in court.
MCTU Secretary General Madalitso Njolomole said, "The labor body will strive for justice in the industrial dispute."
Njolomole has however appealed for dialogue in resolving labour differences in various institutions as stipulated in the constitution.
