WOMEN ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN FRONTLINE POLITICS

The Women Legal Resources Centre—WOLREC has stressed participation of more young women in frontline politics would help strengthen Malawi’s democracy.
The organization’s Programs Manager Gift Mauluka made the remarks during the closing ceremony of a three-day training in Nsanje district aimed promoting young women’s participation in politics.
Mauluka said WORLEC is building capacity and confidence among young women to have an active role in politics through its Young Women in Active Politics Group Project.
He added that the project will also facilitate sharing of experiences and lessons to inspire young women politicians.
