World Vision Malawi has reaffirmed its commitment towards supporting awareness drive and availability of the new Malaria vaccine in all facilities across the country.
Its Director of Operations Charles Chimombo disclosed this in an interview with Timveni following the World Health Organization’s endorsement of the vaccine.
According to Chimombo, the vaccine will reduce the Malaria burden among under 5 children and pregnant women in the country.
"The organization will work tirelessly to enforce strategies aimed at helping communities to accept the vaccine," said Chimombo.
He added that malaria is a major public health problem in Malawi with an estimated 6 million cases recorded annually.
