YOUTH EMBRACE AGRICULTURE

The Green Belt Authority has hailed youth participation in irrigation agriculture in the year 2020.

Its Acting Executive Director Amon Muluwira has told Timveni, that the statutory body has put in place deliberate measures to motivate youths into irrigation agriculture in a drive to achieve government’s One Million job creation promise.

In this regard, Muluwira has encouraged youthsto embrace new modern ways of irrigation agriculture.

However, Muluwira said irrigation has also been heavily affected by Covid-19 with the authority failing to procure equipment for green houses.
